Hot Mushroom Dip
A must-have for any party
This recipe is perfect for impressing your party guests, or for enjoying as an afternoon snack. It is super easy and takes less than 25 mins to make.
0.5 kg fresh mushrooms
6 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons minced onion
475 ml carton low-fat sour cream
2 vegetable or chicken stock
cubes (or 2 teaspoons granules)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons soft butter or margarine
2 tablespoons flour
1. Chop mushrooms quite fine and sauté in pan with butter and lemon juice. Let simmer 5-10 minutes.
2. Add onions, sour cream, bouillon, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5-10 minutes more.
3. . Make a paste of the remaining butter and flour. Add to hot mixture and stir until thickened.
4. Plate up – Serve hot, in fondue
pot or chafing dish, with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
